FAQs

Why should I work with Murdock Banner Financial Group?

One of the most significant benefits of working with Murdock Banner Financial Group is our unique, team approach to financial planning. Choosing an advisor is a decision that should be made with careful thought and consideration. It will be a relationship as important as choosing a doctor or dentist. Where you trust your doctor with your physical needs, we are entrusted with your financial needs. These needs will grow and become more important as your life and goals change over time. In addition, you are also getting the advice of not one, but three seasoned advisors with varying areas of expertise. This unique structure allows us to confidently help you plan for your future.

Do you have a minimum amount to open an account?

No. We believe it is never too early or too late to start planning. We have accounts ranging from a $20 per month contribution to accounts where we manage several millions. No matter what your current situation, we will work with you to assess your goals and form a plan appropriate for you.

How experienced are your advisors?

Combined, our team of advisors have over 50 years of financial services experience. Mark Banner, our Senior Advisor (who’s professional designations include Certified Financial Planner®, and Chartered Financial Consultant®), celebrated 20 years at Murdock Banner Financial Group in May 2014 and 30 years in the financial services industry. Craig Coen, who has a Master’s of Business Administration, as well as his Chartered Financial Consultant® designation, has 18 years of industry experience, and Chad Appleton has been a practicing advisor for four years.

What if I move away from the Warrensburg area and can’t meet in office for my reviews?

We will make it work! We have clients in 38 states and are able to service each just the same as if they were here in central Missouri. Our advisors are able to review with you over the phone. Phone reviews are also a great option for those on the go who’s schedules do not allow for an in office review.

What does it mean to be an independent advisor?

Unlike many other firms or planners, our advice is not dictated by a product provider, meaning, there is no outside business encouraging our advisors to place your money in certain funds or into certain products. This freedom of choice allows our advisors to tailor their planning to your specific goals. In essence, no outside business owns Murdock Banner Financial Group.
